You may not be aware of this, but there are many celebrities who absolutely love playing online Bingo. Probably the most well know Bingo playing celebrity is Sharon Osbourne. British X Factor winner, Leona Lewis, has done the seemingly impossible!
She has hit the Number 1 spot on the US Billboard Chart with the first single, Bleeding Love, from her debut album, Spirit. Lewis is the first British female artist to have a number one hit in the USA since Kim Wilde in 1987 with her cover of The Supremes’ You Keep Me Hanging’ On. Lewis joins Wilde, and the only other 2 British female artists, Petula Clark and Sheena Easton, to have their debut single hit Number One in the US. Lewis has even topped Amy Wine house, who despite 5 Grammy Awards has never hit Number One.
Leona appeared, with boss, Simon Cowbell, on the |Oprah Winfrey show, and her performance got a huge response from the hostess. “Wow, wow, wow… Talk about a star is born. You’re the real deal, girl.” Winfrey gushed before advising her audience that Leona’s music was available on iTunes or at Target Music stores.
Leona’s songs, and album have been disused in the UK as too mainstream, but let’s face it, the mainstream music is what sells. I think the album is one of those that you can listen too over and over without getting bored, and the lyrics are easy to pick up too. If being mainstream is bad, then I’m sure Leona wishes she was the baldest ever!
